Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, the Harvest Inn in St. Helena is an enchanting venue that beckons couples seeking a serene and intimate wedding experience. This fall I had the privilege of capturing the nuptials of Tina and Ryan, a couple whose love story unfolded against the breathtaking backdrop of vineyards and rolling hills, surrounded by redwood trees. Their micro wedding at Harvest Inn was nothing short of magical and made for beautiful photography moments.

A Perfect Setting for an Intimate Celebration
The couple's decision to host a micro-wedding allowed them to focus on what truly mattered: celebrating their love with their closest family and friends. With a guest list of just 23 people, the wedding ceremony felt incredibly personal and heartfelt. The intimate gathering meant that there wedding guests could share in the couple's joy in a meaningful way, creating an atmosphere that was both warm and inviting. As someone with the love language "quality time", I appreciated this decision and loved photographing the moments of laughter at the reception. It also made the wedding planning process much easier, as there was ample space in the day to go with the flow of the couple.
A Destination wedding venue Like No Other
Tina and Ryan chose Harvest Inn for its unique blend of natural beauty, on-site lodging, and an intimate atmosphere. The venue offers a myriad of picturesque locations, the perfect setting for the kind of editorial wedding imagery I love to create. The couple decided on the Vineyard View Terrace for their vows—a choice that turned out to be absolutely spectacular. With the Mayacamas Mountains in the background and rows of lush grapevines stretching out before them, the setting made for un unforgettable wedding. The organic beauty of the venue combined with charming all-brick buildings make this a standout among Napa wedding venues, perfect for a rustic wine country wedding with a touch of luxury.
Wedding Photography in the Napa Vineyards
After the ceremony it was time for sunset photos. Towering redwood trees, carefully manicured gardens, and acres of vineyards were the perfect backdrop for their wedding photos. Golden hour is the perfect time for taking couples portraits. The light is soft, warm, and magical. I photographed a mix of color and black and white images for their couple portraits to both showcase the fall colors and create timeless images.
A Feast for the Senses
Set beside rows of vineyards, a family-style dinner was served as the guests all shared a long banquet table. Designed by the creative team at GS Events, Guests were treated to a sumptuous meal showcasing the fresh, organic flavors for which Napa Valley is renowned. The lovely couple enjoyed the reflections of family and friends as they received toasts. The tears and laughter made this wedding unforgettable.
Capturing the Moments
After an amazing dinner the couple cut the cake and had their first dance as a married couple. They opened the dance floor and had a fun time celebrating the night away. Congratulations Tina and Ryan!
