About Me
I am a San Francisco Bay Area wedding photographer with a style that combines elegance and warmth to create beautiful and intimate wedding photos. My focus is creating seamless storytelling in a way that highlights beauty and brings the spirit of the event into every detail. Inspired by emotion and connection, I work in a photojournalistic style to capture the genuine emotion and tender moments of your wedding.
In addition to my work behind the camera, I have a way of keeping things calm and flowing through stressful times with a combination of humor, encouragement, and decisive action. My intention is to add to the joy of the day, and to make being photographed feel as good as possible. For me, that means being unobtrusive in quiet times, being clear when directing staged photographs, and smiling and dancing my way through your celebration.
I am lucky that photography has been with me throughout my adult life. Over the years my work consistently came down to what was special about someone or something, and how to share that beauty that I see with the viewer of a photograph. So, how I approach photography is to attune to ways that I can support the person I’m photographing in sharing more of what I see. When I started shooting weddings, my natural inclination to look for the beauty in a moment became the lens through which I started telling love stories. My appreciation for aesthetic, storytelling, people, and connection had a really fun playground to run around in. Wedding days are so full of feeling. The emotions run high and are so present in everyone's eyes it's captivating to watch, Not only do you see the power of the moment reflected on everyone's face, you see them on this backdrop the couple has curated to express their personalities. Good wedding planning is really good storytelling, and being a photojournalistic wedding photographer, I'm always looking for a good story.
My photography pricing for weddings in the SF Bay Area varies depending on your unique needs. I offer affordable San Francisco City Hall wedding packages beginning at $900, and Northern California weddings start at $4000. In Everyday Life
I am a creative homebody with a thirst for adventure. When I’m not home playing in my garden, working on multiple kitchen projects, making adornments and other art, or editing photos I’m stoked about, I’m usually immersed in nature, exploring the astounding biodiversity of the bay area and beyond. I’m a burner (7 burns!) and enjoy being a part of communities centered around creativity, sustainability, and mind expansion. I love animals, coffee, memes, and dancing. I also really like dad jokes and punny innuendo.
I’m very visual and curious. I like to engage with the world in an immersive way that is both playful and present. My life has a strong spiritual orientation, and I find myself feeling the most connected and activated through dance, movement practices, meditation, and being out in the wild. I love plants, learning about their healing powers and working with them through making skincare and herbal potions. I believe in the earth as medicine and connecting with that often keeps me grounded.
I love travel...connecting with new people and learning about their way of life. Traveling gives me a perspective shift that I find so helpful, bringing me to the possibility of starting over again in any moment and being creative from that place.
My Background
I’ve had an appreciation for photography for as long as I can remember. As a kid one of my favorite things to do was to pour over family photo albums over and over again, getting lost in the adventures of the past. I especially savored my grandma’s albums from her life growing up in Poland, where she was studying photography. I loved the outfits and hairstyles!
I started to dabble in modeling when I was 9, getting serious about it in my early teens. Being in front of the camera opened up a path of creative expression for me that was very powerful. I was very shy at school and modeling gave me a way to share myself with others, which helped me build confidence. When I was 17 I asked a photographer I worked with a lot if I could borrow his camera to photograph another model he was working with, and I was hooked right away. I fell in love with this way of looking at the world, of tuning in to what about a person and a moment is compelling, beautiful, artful, intriguing, and encouraging their expression of that to create a photograph that really shares something of their essence as I experienced it. My camera became my constant companion, and a way of interacting with the world that satisfied my love of connecting with people and my love of creating beauty.
